Ways for Bay Area residents to support the Lahaina relief effort

ALL-STAR BENEFIT CONCERT: Wiwoʻole Maui Benefit, a three-hour concert featuring popular Hawaiian music by Grammy and Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winners, will be livestreamed from the Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria Resort on Maui this Saturday, Aug. 19. The event will start at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) and run till 6:30. The show is being presented by the Grand Wailea, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, KITV4 News and Pacific Media Group. Contributions will be distributed through the nonprofit Aina Momona and the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund. To stream the concert, go to www.kaainamomona.org.

HAWAIIAN BBQ: With its “Love for Lahaina” effort, the L&L Hawaiian Barbecue restaurant chain will donate $1 to the Red Cross from every mobile app or online order made from now through Aug. 31. The chain is headquartered on Oahu. Details: www.hawaiianbarbecue.com

SAVE MART, LUCKY and FOODMAXX: These grocery stores will facilitate contributions at the checkout stand and print the amount on each receipt so that customers have a record of their tax-deductible donation. Collectively the stores will match up to $10,000 of customer donations. Funds will go to the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund.

SUNDAY BRUNCH: Every Sunday through Oct. 1, the Signia by Hilton in downtown San Jose will offer a Hawaiian-themed brunch menu in the hotel’s Fountain Restaurant, with proceeds going to the Kokoa Hospitality and Relief Fund to support those in the industry displaced by the fire. Menu additions include Braised Short Rib Loco Moco, Fish and Poi, and Ube Custard French Toast Pudding. Reservations: www.hilton.com/en/hotels/sjcsmsa-signia-san-jose/dining/fountain-restaurant/

HAWAIIAN PIZZA: Through Sept. 10, purchase a small Hawaiian pizza for $20 at Tony & Alba’s Pizza & Pasta, and the San Jose restaurant will donate $15 to Maui relief. Details: https://tonyandalbaspizza.com
