The suspect was taken into custody Thursday in Oakland, police said.

OAKLAND – Authorities on Thursday arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a man last week at Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline in Oakland.

The victim, Francisco Felix, was killed in his vehicle around 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 8 while parked at the regional shoreline, the East Bay Regional Park District said in a news release.

East Bay Regional Park District Police Department investigators identified the suspect as Ginrhic Arden Bernardino Santiago and arrested him Thursday in Oakland.

Police did not release any additional details about the case, including a possible motive.
