An armed man wearing only a Speedo and fur-lined boots was arrested Saturday at a Petaluma park, police said.
The initial call, at 3:51 p.m., said the man was walking naked in Steamer Landing Park, on the Petaluma River. Officers found a 48-year-old Petaluma man in tight-fitting swim briefs and boots.
They determined he was required to submit to a search because of his probation conditions, and they found he had a loaded .40-caliber handgun with a 14-round magazine, the police report said.
Police said the man was handcuffed and taken to jail after physically resisting his arrest.
He was booked on suspicion of resisting an officer, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, a weapons violation involving the large-capacity magazine, and a probation violation.
