AUG. 14

Commercial burglary, vandalism: Between Aug. 10 and 14, someone removed a gate and entered Congress Springs Park on Glen Brae Drive. They then broke locks of structures on the property and stole a phone and landscaping equipment valued at $2,100. The total amount of damage was about $4,500.

Commercial burglary, vandalism: Someone entered the PG&E property on Glen Brae Drive overnight by removing portions of a wooden fence, then broke locks to access a container and small structure. Details of any stolen property were not provided. The total amount of damage was estimated at $5,020.

Petty theft: Between 3:30 p.m. and 3:50 p.m., someone stole a backpack and a bicycle from the front yard of a residence in the 18000 block of Montpere Way for a total loss of about $560.

AUG. 15

Identity Theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to access their benefits account and made fraudulent purchases totaling approximately $927.

AUG. 16

Residential burglary: Between 5:30 a.m. on July 22 and 6:10 p.m. on Aug. 16, someone entered the garage of a residence in the 20000 block of Marigny Place by prying the door open. Nothing was reported stolen.

AUG. 17

Evading a police officer: At 1:35 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a motorist at Saratoga Avenue and Highway 85 for traffic violations, but the driver did not yield and evaded for several miles. The suspect eventually stopped and was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. The case will be submitted to the district attorney’s office for review.

Assault and battery, fighting on school grounds: At 2:39 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a battery on school grounds at Prospect High School on Prospect Road. An investigation revealed that an unknown suspect punched and kicked the victim multiple times, causing injuries.

AUG. 18

Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to access their airline rewards account and redeemed miles for a loss valued at $516.

AUG 19

False registration tab, unlicensed driver: At 5:28 p.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga-Sunnyvale and Prospect roads for having expired registration while displaying a current tab. An investigation revealed the suspect fraudulently affixed the tab to the plate and did not have a driver’s license. The suspect was cited and released.
