One person was killed and another wounded in two unrelated shootings three hours apart Saturday in different areas of the city, authorities said.

OAKLAND — One person was killed and another wounded in two shootings three hours apart Saturday in different areas of the city, authorities said. The shootings are not related, authorities said.

The fatal shooting happened about 8:19 p.m. Saturday outside at 79th Avenue and Plymouth Street in East Oakland.
A male police have not yet identified was found shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene

Police have not released a motive yet for the killing.  No arrests have been made.

The non-fatal shooting happened about  5:11 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of 16th Street, a residential area in West Oakland.

A 63-year-old man was shot in the leg during a dispute with another man.  Police suspect the shooting was over a financial debt of some kind the victim owed the suspect.

The suspect fled before police got to the scene. The wounded man was in stable condition at a hospital.
