Incident in Campbell marks his fourth DUI in 10 years.

Aug. 21

Overnight in the 300 block of Union Avenue: Someone forced entry into a 2023 Scion XB and stole a pair of sunglasses. The suspect also tampered with the ignition and tried to steal the vehicle.

11:05 p.m. in the 00 block of Christopher Avenue: Someone forced entry into the victim’s car and fled in a dark gray Toyota Camry.

1700 block of South Winchester Boulevard : Someone took a large white party tent from a parking lot.

Aug. 22

Overnight in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone broke into a locked Dodge Charger and took a purse.

8:20 a.m. in the 1800 block of West Campbell Avenue: A man left his iPhone on a table, and when he returned, it was gone.

10:09 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone took the victim’s rent check and cashed it.

12:44 p.m. in the 400 block of West Rincon Avenue: Someone scammed an elderly woman by convincing her to invest in a fake company.

11:17 a.m. in the 200 block of Union Avenue: A man, 68, called 911 to report that people crawled through his window and robbed him at gunpoint. The incident did not occur, and the man was found to be under the influence.

1:30 p.m. in the 00 block of Llewellyn Avenue: Someone broke the window to a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas and took a diaper bag.

4 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone  broke the window to a car and took a backpack with earmuffs.

8:40 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Three suspects entered a store and filled three bags with cosmetics then fled.

10 p.m. in the 3600 block of South Bascom Avenue: A caller reported that their neighbor asked them to call the police because he thought he killed someone. The neighbor refused to open the door, and officers forced entry. It was determined that the victim and the neighbor got into an argument in violation of a peaceful contact order. The neighbor struck the victim with a lamp, causing an injury. The victim defended himself and struck the neighbor.

2:09 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and San Tomas Expressway: A man, 34, fell asleep at the intersection. He had objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was found to be DUI.

Aug. 23

Overnight in the 00 block of West Campbell Avenue: Someone vandalized the skate park with graffiti.

1:38 p.m. at San Tomas Expressway and Budd Avenue: A driver, 66, was involved in a vehicle collision and was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

7:05 p.m. at 70 N. First St.: A man, 32, came to the front lobby of the police station and made nonsensical, rambling statements about people following him. He admitted to smoking methamphetamine and was found to be under the influence of a stimulant.

Aug. 24

8:04 a.m. at West Hamilton and Llewellyn Avenue: A man, 45, was on a bicycle when an officer attempted to stop him for a vehicle code violation. He dropped his bicycle and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody. He had a felony warrant and was in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, burglary tools, credit cards not belonging to him and a scanning device.

2:11 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue : A man, 36, and a woman, 36, were inside a store concealing items. Officers arrived on scene and were given the description of the vehicle the suspects were driving, which came back as a cold-plated stolen 2004 Honda Civic. Officers made contact with the suspects and took them into custody. The man was in possession of the keys to the stolen vehicle. The woman had a felony warrant and was under the influence of a stimulant. There was drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle.

6:36 p.m. at Nido and Wilton drives: A driver, 53, was involved in a solo rollover collision. The driver displayed signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was found to be DUI and transported for medical treatment.

7:25 p.m. at East Campbell Avenue and First Street: A man, 24, was reported as a reckless driver in downtown. After brake-checking other vehicles, he exited his vehicle and began yelling at pedestrians in the area. Someone approached him and attempted to calm him down, and the man began punching and kicking them. He fled on foot but was apprehended a short distance away. The victim was transported for medical treatment. While the suspect was fleeing, his girlfriend, 20, got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and followed him. She stopped and exited the vehicle as officers were placing the man under arrest. The man was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, and the woman was found to be driving under the combined influence of alcohol and a depressant. The man had also been driving with a suspended driver’s license and without an ignition interlock device. This was his fourth DUI in 10 years.

12:16 a.m. in the 3000 block of East Campbell Avenue: The victim alleged that during an argument, the suspect spit on her. The suspect refused to exit the apartment and provide a statement.

2200 block of Central Park Drive: Someone made entry into a residence and stole some jewelry.

Aug. 25

Overnight in the 500 block of Valley Forge Way: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items.

1300 block of Bronwen Way: The victim ordered a new credit card in the mail that she never received. Someone used the credit card and made $300 worth of fraudulent charges.

2:05 p.m. at North First Street and East Campbell Avenue: A man, 58, indecently exposed himself to the victim, who wanted prosecution.

11 p.m. in the 300 block of East Campbell Avenue: A woman got into an argument with the victim, pulling her hair and pulling her off a barstool. The victim did not have any injuries but desired prosecution.

11:27 p.m. in the 300 block of Union Avenue: Someone broke the door to an apartment and attempted to gain entry. The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival and was not located.

3:16 a.m. at Greylands Drive and East Hamilton Avenue: A woman, 59, was stopped for a vehicle code violation while riding her bicycle. She was a prohibited person in possession of pepper spray.

Aug. 26

9:33 a.m. in the 800 block of Sharmon Palms Lane: During an argument, a man, 41, strangulated the victim, then pulled out a knife and told her he was going to kill the children then kill her. He fled the scene but was convinced to go to the police station, where he was taken into custody.

3:02 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and East Campbell Avenue: A man, 79, showed objective signs of alcohol intoxication and was found to be DUI.

11:23 p.m. in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: The suspect grabbed the victim by the arm, scratching him in the process. The suspect then pushed the victim against a wall and told him to call the police because he was going to kill him. The victim believed the suspect would carry out this threat and feared for his safety.

Aug. 27

7:46 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and Winchester Boulevard: A man, 34, was waving a 14-inch adjustable wrench. He was also found to be under the influence.

8:51 a.m. in the 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A woman, 55, threatened to shoot up the hotel and the staff.

Overnight in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone pried the door to a business and took $1,500 in cash from a safe they forced open, along with cash registers and possibly some keys.

11:23 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lenor Way: A man, 51, got into an argument with the victim and slapped her in the face, violating a peaceful contact order.

10:28 p.m. at East Campbell and Union avenues: A man, 30, was stopped for vehicle code violations. He was found to be DUI and was arrested.

1:25 a.m. at Camden and Curtner avenues: A man, 25,  was stopped for vehicle code violations. He was found to be DUI and was arrested.

1:41 a.m. at Leigh Avenue and Dry Creek Road: A woman, 32, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and is on probation for identity theft. During a search of the vehicle, personal ID information snot belonging to her was located.
