Baymax will make meet-and-greet appearances in San Fransokyo Square when the full transformation of the former Pacific Wharf food court is finally complete at Disney California Adventure.

The massive new Baymax character coming to San Fransokyo Square will put the “big” in Big Hero 6 when the inflatable healthcare robot joins his pal Hiro Hamada at the rethemed land at Disney California Adventure.

Baymax will make meet-and-greet appearances in San Fransokyo Square on Thursday, Aug. 31 when the full transformation of the former Pacific Wharf food court is finally complete.

Disneyland fans will be able to give the inflatable robot squishy hugs, trade fist bumps and pose for photos — but don’t expect him to sign autographs with his stubby fingers.

Baymax talks and can carry on limited conversations with visitors. Expect most exchanges to include his trademark catchphrase: “Ba La La La La La La La La.”

The 6-foot, 2-inch tall Baymax towers over the 5-foot-tall boy-genius Hiro in the “Big Hero 6” movies and television shows.

The Hiro character that appears in Disney theme parks is 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-7, according to the Disney Auditions website.

The bulbous Baymax character that will appear in San Fransokyo Square dwarfs the diminutive Hiro character.

The soft and cute Baymax looks like an inflatable vinyl marshmallow with a rotund body and thick arms that make his width nearly equal to Hiro’s height.

Baymax shimmies and shuffles as he walks — which will make for adorable entrances and exits while he is in San Fransokyo Square.

Baymax is one of the biggest characters visitors will ever meet at the Disneyland resort.

8 of the world’s best new theme parks

Disney theme parks are home to some tall characters — including Goofy (6-foot-3), Woody (6-foot-4), Jafar (6-foot-4), Iron Man (6-foot-4), Groot (6-foot-4) and Dr. Facilier (6-foot-6), according to the top heights on the Disney Auditions website.

The biggest character to ever walk through Avengers Campus was probably the 7- to 8-foot-tall Hulk in his Quantum Suit, according to KTLA.

The mega-sized Hulk character was part of Walt Disney Imagineering’s Project Exo — which uses a full-body exoskeleton system to allow super-sized characters from the Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar universes to walk around Disney theme parks and interact with visitors.

The new Baymax character is not part of Imagineering’s Project Exo.
