A Scratchers ticket worth $2 million was recently sold at a Hayward gas station, according to the California Lottery.

HAYWARD — A potentially life-changing sum of cash is heading one Bay Area lottery player’s way after a $2 million Scratchers ticket was sold at a Hayward gas station, according to the California Lottery.

The player, publicly identified as Miguel Palominos Contreras on Thursday, purchased an “Instant Prize Crossword” scratch-off game from Moa’s Service Center in Hayward.
