VALLEJO — A teenage passenger died and another was injured in a single-car collision Friday morning, authorities said.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Friday, the Vallejo Police Department responded to a collision near Columbus and Redwood parkways.

The driver of a 2005 Toyota Tundra lost control of the vehicle while traveling on Columbus Parkway and struck the center median, according to police. The Toyota rolled over and stopped in the opposite lane of traffic.

Police said the passenger was declared dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries police said were not life-threatening.
