Cenizal, a senior, rushed for 251 and two touchdowns in 24 carries as Mitty outlasted Aptos

Archbishop Mitty football player A.J Cenizal is the Bay Area News Group’s high school boys athlete of the week for Aug. 28 to Sept. 2 after she received 35.47% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.

Sobrato football player Noah Taylor (32.56%) placed second and Saratoga football player Keion Ashjaee-Marshall was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
