Southbound lanes of Highway 101 will be closed for 12 hours this weekend to allow construction work, the California Department of Transportation said.
From 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday, southbound drivers will be routed off the freeway at Shoreline Boulevard in Mountain View and sent on a detour of about 2 miles.
The map above shows the detour in purple.
Updates on traffic in the area can be found at 511.org, the 511 X (Twitter) feed or Caltrans’ QuickMap online or QuickMap app. After construction work last weekend, Caltrans was able to reopen westbound Interstate 80 about 12 hours ahead of schedule.
