From 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday, southbound drivers will be routed off the freeway at Shoreline Boulevard.

Southbound lanes of Highway 101 will be closed for 12 hours this weekend to allow construction work, the California Department of Transportation said.

From 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday, southbound drivers will be routed off the freeway at Shoreline Boulevard in Mountain View and sent on a detour of about 2 miles.

Updates on traffic in the area can be found at 511.org, the 511 X (Twitter) feed or Caltrans’ QuickMap online or QuickMap app. After construction work last weekend, Caltrans was able to reopen westbound Interstate 80 about 12 hours ahead of schedule.
